Workshops and Classes
Below are my current workshop offerings. Dates and locations will be posted below and updated periodically. If you are interested in hosting a workshop, please contact me! I will tailor the workshop to fit the needs of your group or community organization, and I offer sliding scale fees.
COMMUNITY STITCH CIRCLE
This isn't a class, but rather a free, regular meeting where we meet, hang out, talk, and work on independent projects (quilting, knitting, drawing, etc.) We share skills/ideas and help each other with project problems, etc. Dates & Location TBD.
QUILT SKILLS WORKSHOP
In this 3 hr workshop, I teach the basic skills needed to make a quilt (piecing by hand and machine, applique techniques, quilt assembly, quilt stitching, binding.) We will not make a quilt in this class, but rather learn the individual techniques by making tiny scrap quilts/fabric sketches. Next location & date TBD. Request this class.
IMPERFECT QUILTING WORKSHOP
This is a workshop series, three to four 3 hr classes, where I support you in making your own quilt. Prerequisite: the Quilt Skills Workshop or some beginner-intermediate sewing skills. Next location & date TBD. Request this class.
COMMUNITY QUILT PROJECTS
Are you interested in starting a community quilt project, but don’t know where to start? Facilitating quilting groups is a particular joy of mine. Check out the Dogwood Quilt and the Haven Quilt to see examples of past community quilt projects. Inquire about a community quilt here.
